EDUCATION

Roberta Ragni graduated in Chemistry in 2001 and received her PhD in Chemical Sciences at the University of Bari, Italy, in 2004. In 2006, she was visiting researcher at the Instituut voor Moleculaire Chemie-Universiteit van Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster Physikalisches Institut, Germany. She presently holds a position as Researcher in Organic Chemistry at the University of Bari since 2008.

SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY

Her research interests deal with the synthesis and the study of photophysical properties of (electro)luminescent organic polymers, organometallic complexes and photoactive molecules. Her research is also focused on the development of biohybrid systems for solar energy conversion, biomedicine and photonics via chemical modification of biomaterials produced by photosynthetic organisms.
