Profile

Luca La Notte was born in 1983.

He graduated in Material Science and Technology (cum laude) from "Aldo Moro" University of Bari in 2009. He disserted the thesis "Development of innovative plasma processes for the realization of a-Si/c-Si heterojunction devices" after attending an internship at ENEA Research Centre in Portici (Naples) and CNR-IMIP Institute of Bari.

Since January 2010 to January 2011, he worked at ENEA Research Centre of Portici on design, realization and characterization of optical filters, mirrors and antireflective coatings composed of metal and dielectric thin film deposited by magnetron sputtering.

In June 2015 he got the PhD in "Microelectronics and Telecommunications Engineering" at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. During the PhD period, he spent six months at IMEC (Leuven) working on the patterning of the photoactive layer.

Since July 2015 he is a post-doc at CHOSE.

Research Activity

He is working on scale-up of fabrication of bulk heterojunction polymer solar cells, under the supervision of Prof. Andrea Reale. In the specific, his activity is focused on implementation of printing and coating techniques in the fabrication of large area modules based on flexible substrate.

Keen about Photovoltaics, he costantly gives special attention to its scientific and technological evolution and market analysis.
