Profile

Suresh Kumar Podapangi, working as a PhD student at University of Rome “Tor Vergata” under Prof. Thomas M Brown. His research focuses on the fabrication of Perovskite solar cells using eco-friendly techniques at the Center for Hybrid and Organic Solar Energy (CHOSE), Rome. He gained three years of experience at Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc), Bangalore, as a Research Assistant, where he was focused on the Perovskite Solar cells and Organic solar cells device fabrication and characterization. He worked as a Research assistant at Polymers and Functional Materials Department, CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad. He pursued undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad and a master’s degree in Green Energy Technology from Pondicherry University (Central Govt. University of India).

Research Activity

Suresh Kumar Podapangi's work mainly involves design and fabrication of low-cost perovskite solar cells without employing carcinogenic, reprotoxic or hazardous solvents. This will motivate the industry and start-up to employ such green fabrication techniques to commercialize perovskite solar cells/modules with proper encapsulants to be available on market shelves in the near future not so far.
