Sergio Castro is a first year Ph.D. student at CHOSE group, University of Rome – Tor Vergata. In 2014 he was awarded by Departamento del Huila (Colombia) with a full scholarship for PhD studies. Before coming to Italy he completed a bachelor in Mechatronic Engineering and a MSc in Materials and Process Engineering at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogotá, Colombia. From 2010-2015 he worked as teaching assistant at the Universidad Distrital and graduate student instructor at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Between 2011 and 2012 he received a scholarship for outstanding graduate students from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
The topic of his PhD research is in new strategies for perovskite solar cell stability especially on flexible substrates.
